I have a plate on my old R7000 FD that bit the dust. Mine is B type
plate straight across. This should work though but from a 9100 cannot
find the specific 7000 part. What do you all say.

Not to be honest sure which part you mean but IrCOve not had my morning cup
of tea, but considering the relatively low cost of the front mech, might be worth just buying a new one and using the older one for parts aka put in a
    box.

I tend to agree wotj Rogdr. While adjustments tend to be a pain in the butt you have the same problem with replacing the limit screws.
