On my ride today, I noticed that I could hold 125 `bpm heart rate (92% max) indefinitely if a bit painfully,but above this I can only hold it for a short while before slowing up rather dramatically. what's more, this must be the same for others since the Garmin graph changes color above that 92% mark. This was near the end of the ride into a headwind. I was trying to hold my 10 mph average speed.
