Getting old is a bitch, bit it's better than the alternative.

My blood pressure was 124/65 in the cardiologist visit today with no
blood pressure medicine for three days. I quit them hoping to convince
her that I did not need the blood pressure medicine that was causing
me problems. She agreed. Instead, she prescribed cholesterol
medication and scheduled a cardiac catheter to check on the calcium
buildup in my coronary arteries that the CT scan showed. In the mean
time, no restrictions on my cycling.
I've finally been getting reasonable amounts of sleep after quitting
the sleep meds a month ago that had stopped working and were perhaps
hindering my sleep. With them, I'd go right to sleep but would wake up
after three or four hours and then I couldn't get back to sleep. Now,
I can go right back to sleep.
My back problems have let up, probably due to me no longer lifting the
Catrike onto the work stand or into the truck. It isn't that heavy,
under forty lbs, but it's awkward to lift and I had to twist my body
with that load for both functions. The PVC loading device is a
godsend.
