Today, after my heart CT scan, we went looking for an offbeat
restaurant in the area, as we often do, and hit on one named "Twisted
Sprocket Cafe." Thinking it was a bicycle themed place, we GPS'd 8
miles to it. Turns out it was in the "clubhouse" for a hotsy totsy
community with lots of circlular drivearounds and bike lanes with no
    bicycles.

The only thing "bicycle" about it was a name and the logo, a sprocket
with twisty crank arms. Not a bicycle in sight. Food was OK, but too
    expensive and no alcohol.

FWIW, I used to eat at the Hotsy Totsy Yacht Club on my visits to
Chicago. Great name. I wonder if it's still there.

I didn't know it but it's gone, corporation dissolved: https://www.bizapedia.com/il/hotsie-totsie-club-inc.html

It seems the owner Gary DeAngelis died in 2006. https://www.legacy.com/us/obituaries/chicagotribune/name/gary-de-angelis-obituary?id=2458763

There are links to a group on The Face Book which references
your (mis?) spelling but I do not subscribe.

I've always been attracted to restaurants and businesses with offbeat
    names.

...Andrew... Offbeat logos are too cool too.
