Someone made a real mess ofthe rear triangle of the 564. Robinson did not want to go bending everything since he was afraid of breaking a chain or seat stay. But I had no such fear. So I brnt the right rear dropout opewn to 10 mm and spread the stays from 120 to 126 the stays were much too strong to open beyond 126 mm. So I ordered what appears to be new Shimsno 8 speed wheels. They are 130's but have a spacer that I can remove to correct the width. I will replace my 11 speed levers with 8's and add a triple I will sell it cheap. I decided to keep the DeRosa Merak and the Moser M82. I will sell the carbon fiber bikes. The Ridley Helium is scary light and all I have to do is wire the Di2. The BMC and DeRosa Idol are ready to go.

    130mm hub spacing with an HG body supports 7, 8, 9, 10
    Shimano type cassettes.

At 126mm you'll have to remove the left side axle spacer and
trim the axle which will give you increased spoke tension
differential left to right(aka 'dish'). That's generally
undesirable. And the right side will still support 7, 8, 9,
    10 cassettes.

The rear dropouts on the 564 are so wide that I think all I'll have to do is move the axle over. But trimming it down if necessary is easy enough,
Question: I have some Dura Ace 10 speed levers. Can I use those to shift the 8 speed just by setting the limit screws?
