I think I understand the scoring if the 4 picks are perfectly
correct, But I am really murky on the 'near miss' points.

and #2, I think I understand the scoring if the 4 picks are perfectly correct, But I am really murky on the 'near miss' points.
I did something unusual for me and looked back at prior numbers,,,,
But, still, it seems that if it is correct, that I had 202 points
after Azer, and if I scored 8 at Sing, then the listed
new total of 208 seems inconsistent.
Or, is that the whole purpose of "Super secret double blind probation"?

I have no idea what this is about. Am I missing something?

Right...I'm back from my holidays so here goes.
I didn't notice anything, but it's all (pretty much) automated so unless someone challenges it, I don't go back and recompute.
I have _no_ idea what went wrong here. I've just rerun the script and
there are a number of numbers that didn't match up including yours. Is
this any better?

Yes. "Some math I saw,,, did not math!"
(totals did not add up correctly)
(202 plus 8 does not equal 208!)
So yes, this is better.
I hope you had a great vacation.
I truly hope my post did not add stress or distraction.
Thank you very much for your work on this that helps
add a considerable amount of interest for us.

So yes, this is better.
I can't tell you _what_ happened - or why it happened - but I can tell
you what the impact was.
Something affected the results for race 3. It's like the system got
confused about the results for just that one race. I could probably work
out which results were different...but I can't see an issue with the
table, and the results page is autogenerated from a scrape of the web.
This is where it gets *weird*. It doesn't just affect you, and it has happened before to those affected just for race 3. No-one has noticed. Appended, though, are your results since race 3...and you can see race 3 sometimes loses 2 points for no obvious reason. Everything else is
right.
This is going to irritate me until I can explain it...
I hope you had a great vacation.

Not a problem...other than finding a bug!
