    I watched:

    WE ARE THE 80'S

    WE ARE THE 80'S

    WE ARE THE 80'S

    WE ARE THE 80'S

    THUNDARR THE BARBARIAN:
"Trial by Terror". Thundarr's friend Thorac is accused of stealing a
village's fuel and is about to receive a death sentence (by being
boiled alive over a geyser) when the barbarian rescues him. Thorac is
granted a reprieve when Thundarr and the group investigate the crime, eventually learning the town's sheriff Korb is in league with the evil
wizard Artemus. Artemus had stolen the fuel to power his Death Ship and
gain the approval of the Council of Wizards.

I think I might have been mildly offended by this one. Artemus's
soldiers were orcs in state trooper uniforms and their leader seemed
like the sheriff in Smokey and the Bandit!

    THUNDARR THE BARBARIAN:
"Prophecy of Peril". Thundarr, Princess Ariel, and Ookla battle the
evil wizard Vashtarr when he steals the Crystal of Prophecy that can
give the details of his downfall. When it shatters in his efforts to
retrieve it, the prophecy is foretold as they learn three women will
unite to defeat him. One is Maya, an element-shifter buried in the
ruins of the old city of Endor. Another is Cinda, a barbarian residing
in the Canyon of Death whose staff grants her great strength. The last
is Valerie Storm, a fashion model from Old Earth, who is abducted and
    taken prisoner by Vashtarr himself.

    CHARLIE'S ANGELS:
"Lady Killer". Playmate centerfolds are getting killed (they use
felines rather than bunnies in a desparate attempt at avoiding a
lawsuit from Hef). Jill poses as a centerfold. Kelly is a singer at the
key club. I was confused because this was not the only time they drew
    from this well.

    HART TO HART:
"Max in Love". Max has met a lovely woman who seems to enjoy his
company also -- but she's part of a theft ring that cleaned out the
    Harts.

    FANTASY ISLAND:
o "Trouble, My Lovely". Overlooked process server Stanley Scheckter
wants the action and excitement of being a private eye for a weekend

I hated this one because it starred Don Knotts. Predictibly, he played
barney Fife and bumbled around the entire show. I was really hoping
Roark's warning about his life being in danger would play out with his
death, but I was not that lucky. At the end, it turns out, Fife's case
was a fantasy mystery murder play someone else fantasized.

o "The Common Man". A perpetually browbeaten husband Fred Stouton wants
the respect of his wife, son and mother-in-law.

I liked this story better, but only because the other was so gawd
aweful. The fantasy was fullfilled by Roarke fucking things up so much
that Bernie chewed out Roark and his family.

    FAMILY GUY
"Bringing Up Brady". Meg pursues an unlikely friendship with an NFL
great; Stewie and Brian host a dinner party at a home furnishing store.

    FAMILY GUY
"Dear Francis". Peter calls out the name "Francis" while making love to
Lois, but she believes he meant his deceased father, leading to a round
of therapy; things worsen when Lois discovers "Frances" is the name of
    the Clam's new, pretty waitress.

I watched the first episode of Marshals, the spinoff of Yellowstone
where we follow the further adventures of Kayce Dutton.

While Taylor Sheridan is an executive producer, along with several
familiar names from his other series, the pilot was NOT written by
Sheridan but by Spencer Hudnut, a key writer on Seal Team suggesting
that Sheridan is going to be more of a remote presence on the show, as
he has been for Mayor of Kingstown for the last few seasons, rather than
the chief (or only) writer, as he is with Landman.

Without dropping any major spoilers, the pilot takes us back into
Kayce's life since he sold the Yellowstone ranch back to the Indians and introduces his old friend from the Navy Seals who borrows him to help
track down a guy hidden in a remote area that Kayce knows well. By the
end of the episode, Kayce has made a decision about his future path and
we learn why his wife Monica is not in the show. Some familiar faces
from the Broken Rock reservation appear along the way.

I've always liked Kayce and Yellowstone in general. This episode was
good enough that I'll stick with the show and see where it goes.

It did have a similar feel at times, didn't it? What did you think of
the episode? Is this a good path for Kayce?

I'm curious about the absence of Monica: was the actress who played her unwilling to continue in the role or did the writers decide that Kayce
needed to be single so they could write romances for him?

It's too bad because she was a real biscuit, at least until she pulled a Cordelia and had a weasel chew off all her hair.

I liked it enough to keep watching. It helps that it has an actress I
    liked from MIDNIGHT TX.

I'm curious about the absence of Monica: was the actress who played her >unwilling to continue in the role or did the writers decide that Kayce >needed to be single so they could write romances for him?

Depends on what the writers wanted to do but I'm okay with them
avoiding much of the family drama. Keep in mind in addition to their
normal missions they've added in this on-going conspiracy.
