Summary: The students take a theatre class, because that's important for
an elite Star Fleet Officer. TBH, I was so bored I kept having to rewind
this 10 minute review because of second-hand boredom, although I am sure Newport would have jizzed in his pants over the subject. Igave up but plan
    on trying Saturday.

    ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS:
That YouTube channel is still playing eps. Unfortunately, it STILL
only playing a handful of ones from the first and second season.

    THUNDARR THE BARBARIAN:
"Last Train to Doomsday". Thundarr and his men are in pursuit of Janus
after he and a race of Hawkmen attack some villagers and the train
route of Tye, the former swamp urchin from Harvest of Doom. The group
is in for a surprise when it turns out Janus is actually Gemini in
    disguise seeking revenge on Thundarr.

    THUNDARR THE BARBARIAN:
"Master of the Stolen Sunsword". During a battle with Yando (a supposed
wizard with unusual magic), Thundarr is struck by red Negative
Lightning, which significantly diminishes the power of his Sunsword.
The weapon can be restored at the nearby Pool of Power, but it is
stolen by Yando who seeks to have the Sunsword's power for himself.

Nothing worth mentioning, just reruns. American Dad is a great show when
it's not all about Roger. You've heard of plot tumors? Roger is a
    character tumor.

I don't think I'm the only one. Some of my favorite moments are when he
tries to center himself and Haley just walks out. At least some of the
    writers knew.

not enjoy watching Ian McShane steal every scene he's in?

    What did you watch?

This is another multiday catch up. Over the past week(?) I watched:

Halloween (1978) Halloween (2018) Halloween Kills (2021) Halloween Ends
(2022) - The plot of all 4 of these movies is this, Jamie Lee Curtis
stars as a woman stalked by a killer in a mask on Halloween. There,
I've saved you the trouble of watching them. I've still never gotten
around to watching most of those Halloween sequels that came out in the 80s/90s. By any chance, is the plot of those movies also, Jamie Lee
Curtis stars as a woman stalked by a killer wearing a mask on Halloween?

Scream 7 (theatrical) Neve Campbell stars as a woman stalked by a killer
in a mask. I'm going to try to say this without spoilers. I have seen
a lot of criticism about this entry in the franchise over the reveal of
the killer. That criticism is 100% accurate. A bit of background, Neve Campbell was supposed to star in Scream 6. 6 is the only Scream movie
not to feature Campbell. She didn't come back for 6 because the
producers got cheap and refused to pay her. So, they did 6 with Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega, who also starred in 5. They wrote 7 for
Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega. But they fired Melissa Barrera for
speaking out in favor of the Palestinians. Word on the street is, when
they fired Barrera, both the director and Jenna Ortega quit in
solidarity. So, the studio caved and brought a dump trunk full of cash
to beg Neve Campbell to come back, and they had to rewrite the movie due
to the main stars being swapped out. The result is Neve Campbell, and
the supporting actors are all great. But the plot doesn't make a lick
of sense. OK, who cares about the plot, it's a Scream movie. But the
reveal of the killer, is just bad! It makes *no* sense! When they
revealed the killer, I along with probably most of the audience went,
*who* is that? Anyway, it's worth watching for the cast collecting a paycheck, but beyond that, let's hope they do better with 8.

I watched some other stuff not worth mentioning.

I ended up rewatching HYPONITIC. A movie starring Ben Afleck as a cop
who had his daughter taken from him when they were at a park. Then he
gets caught in a strange series of events where people are acting far
outside of character. Often with no memory of what they did.

I think I might have liked them a bit more when I saw them in the
theater originally. I remember more or less liking "Ends" and not
getting the hate, other than it seemed to be coming from fans of the
franchise who didn't like the changes. This time around I think I was

Yeah, I was trying not to spoil certain plot elements, that everyone
already knows about anyway. But I won't say out loud. It is more or
less a good ride. Particular if you like seeing a certain someone
again. But once you hit that reveal...

I forgot to mention I also watched:

Star Trek Starfleet Academy (Paramount+) - "The Life of the Stars" -
Episode 8 that is still dealing with the fallout from episode 6. This
was focused heavily on the holographic character of SAM, who The Doctor
and Chancellor Ake take back to her home planet for medical attention.
This was a pretty good one where Robert Picardo really got to shine as
the Doctor. Whenever the Doctor is featured, he's always great. But
this one gave him some drama to play with.

The lady folk try dating via classified ads. The writing is really sloppy
in this one as the girls try to find a blind date that stood them up after

Yes, it's a reference to Elvis, but the character is actually named for
Conway Twitty, then a younger rock-n-roll musician before he went
country, who threated to sue for using is stage name, hence
"Conrad". I'd say the teen girl hysteria is also a reference to teen
girl hysteria for a very young Frank Sinatra.

The made-for-tv adaptation is a much better adaptation of the Broadway
musical. The movie played up Ann-Margret, whose sex appeal dripped off
the screen, and downplayed everyone else. Paul Lynde nearly vanishes. The bio-chemistry stuff was written for the movie; Albert wanted to be an
    English teacher.

Amusingly, Rosie became "Alvarez" upon casting Chita Rivera, whose
father was Puerto Rican. In the movie, we got very blonde Janet Leigh,
kept the changed stage character's Spanish surname, but made her brunette.

The title song was written for the movie to give Ann-Margret something
to sing in the opening and closing bumpouts, produced after production
wrapped. It's now performed in the musical too.

I haven't seen it in decaes. Maybe I should watch it again. Lately, I've >been reading a lot.

You might track down the tv adaptation for a better idea of what the
    Broadway show was like.

I'd love to see a revival of this show.

Yeah, I'd definitely like to do that. I'll see if it turns up.

Bye Bye Birdie (Teaser) - This Aged Great!
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qjx4jBIfG-4

That's a funny movie. I saw in in the late 90s, and I recall it as very >>>> dumb and hilarious.

I had no idea that movie was about an Elvis impersonator!

Birdie does seem Elvisy, doesn't he? Elvis joined the armed forces, too,
so it's likely he was envisioned as an ersatz Elvis.

Yes, it's a reference to Elvis, but the character is actually named for Conway Twitty, then a younger rock-n-roll musician before he went
country, who threated to sue for using is stage name, hence
"Conrad". I'd say the teen girl hysteria is also a reference to teen
girl hysteria for a very young Frank Sinatra.

The made-for-tv adaptation is a much better adaptation of the Broadway musical.

The title song was written for the movie to give Ann-Margret something
to sing in the opening and closing bumpouts, produced after production wrapped. It's now performed in the musical too.

I haven't seen it in decaes. Maybe I should watch it again. Lately, I've

    I forgot there's a TV adaptation. I'm sure I probably saw it, but I
have no memory of it. LOL

I'd love to see a revival of this show.

I'm sure they'll get around to it. They revive everything sooner or later.
