    There is no well in hell that would happen. If it did it would allow
    the Prime Minister to do what I'm sure he'd love to do as it's the one
    thing that would save his political career - declare Britain a
    republic.

    "Would"? I think "could" is more accurate. There's still a lot of
    support for the monarchy in the UK, at least that's my perception. But
    you've been there more recently than I have and your daughter lives
    there so I could be wrong. It's also the source of a lot of tourist
    money, which their economy needs desperately.

    Interference in the case COULD cause Charles to abdicate in favour of
    William but even the pundits are doubtful that it would destroy the
    monarchy itself.
