On Wednesday, I watched another episode of The Neighborhood. The episode
was "Welcome to the Dinner Guest." Marty's nervous because he's dating a
white girl, but Calvin's okay with it once he meets her...
unfortunately, Tina learns she's an atheist, and things get hotter from
there. I watched another, but I fell asleep partway through.

    What did everyone else watch?

Thanks to my stupid DVR deleting my watch history, I don't remember the
exact dates, but I watched at least one of these on Wednesday:

Nobody Dumps My Daughter (Lifetime) SPOILERS!
This is a 2024 movie starring Ana Ortiz as a mother who obsesses over
her daughter's love life. The obsession spills over to her daughter's
teenage boyfriend. When the two break up the mother tries to bribe the
boy with cash into dating the daughter again. The boy protests, he's
not a prostitute! The mother also goes to the local psychic (Shelie E.)
to put a love spell on the boy, but that doesn't work either. I should mention the mother visits the psychic several times in the movie and
keeps getting mad when the psychic's magic powers never work. Finally,
when the mother learns the daughter lost her virginity to the boy, well
then, the only way to restore the daughter's virginity is to hire a
hitman to murder the boy. Fortunately, the local psychic has contact in
the world of hitmen. Who knew? Anyway, as we all know a girl's
virginity will be restored if the boy she had sex with is murdered. Did
the hitman not wonder why a contract was put on a teenage boy living in suburbia?!? I watched this movie thinking to myself who thinks up this ridiculous nonsense. But when it was over I noticed it was set in the
90s and wondered why would they set it in the 90s, unless it was a true
story. And sure enough it is based on a true story. Trying to cast a
magic spell on him, trying to pay the boy to date the daughter, even
hiring a hitman to murder him, all of it happened in real life. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murder_of_Joey_Fischer

Stolen Girl (Lifetime) 2025 movie starring Kate Beckinsale as a mother
whose daughter is kidnapped by her ex-husband. The husband takes the
daughter to his home country of Syria and the local police don't care. Beckinsale is approached by a mercenary played by Scott Eastwood who
offers her a deal, if she comes to work for his high-priced company that rescues kids who are kidnapped and taken oversees, he will take her case
for free. There are a couple of twists and turns that I won't mention.
One thing I noticed while watching was there were lots of cursing being bleeped out and given the movie stars Kate Beckinsale and Scott
Eastweed, I have more than a hunch this movie wasn't made for Lifetime. Anyway, it's basically an action version of Not Without My Daughter.
