    1. itrCOs from 2013, allegedly due 2014... and not here yet. I wouldnrCOt
    hold my breath.

    2. itrCOs mostly Ringo. IrCOm EXTREMELY unlikely to buy any Ringo.

    3. that series wasnrCOt that great in the first place, mostly due to Ringo.

    4. whererCOs the Bloody Hand, and (especially) his daughter? WhererCOs
    Merlin? Bah, humbug.

I think that David Weber was done at three then four books. 9/11
happened while Ringo was finishing book three and he could not finish it
by the due date so there was a book four.

Sadly, Weber did not put any "Empire of Man" books in his todo list:

It is my understanding that there is a fundamental disagreement between
Ringo and Weber on what role Roger would have in Book #5. I am of the
opinion that he has to stay on Terra (perhaps with trips to vital
planets not on the front lines) to clean up the mess. If this
"sidelines" the series protagonist, tough. That job has to be done and
he is the only one who can do it. He has experienced naval officers to
hunt down and destroy Jackson's fleet (and the Saint's fleet as well) if somebody makes sure they have the ships to do that job.
