Doctor Peter Davidson, and Madam Slithereen (going by internal face recognition, didn't check) both appear in Inspector Barnaby S25 E02.
(Caught that accidentally on a German channel's mediathek, was the video following Brokenwood, and I thought it would be the next episode. It
wasn't, but now I'm watching it for the Doctor. :) )

Madam Slitheen has been a regular in Midsomer Murders for the
past few years... unfortunately, her stupid humour and constant
putting down of DS Winter makes her character very annoying.

"Inspector Barnaby"?? Is that actually "Midsomer Murders"??

"Brokenwood"?? Is that the New Zealand series .... under appreciated, I thought.

Yes, but in some European countries (German, France, Denmark, etc.)
they do retitle "Midsomer Murders" as "Inspector Barnaby", in the local >language of course.
Many other shows also get renamed in other countries. "Doctor Who" for >example goes by ...
- Spain: "Doctor Mystery" ("El Doctor Misterio")
- Hungary: "Who Are You, Doc?" ("Kivagy, Doki?")
- China: "The Mysterious Doctor", "The Strange Man From Another World",
and "Time-and-Space-Crossing Doctor"
(no idea why there are three, possibly due to different dialects or
maybe different networks getting the rights).

Massively over-hyped, dismal, badly acted, badly written, boring, and
the same old half-dozen actors, cheap-looking and lazy "Midsomer
Murders" knock-off, ... complete garbage, just like *all* New Zealand
made TV shows and movies. :-p

I have no idea what it's called in the original. German TV channels like changing titles, sigh. (At least the episode I watched was also
available undubbed.)
Google says you're right.

Yeah, somewhere downunder. Guy who likes country music and his team investigate murders in some place with some sometimes somewhat bizarre characters. Memorable: Russian pathologist, and recurring dude "Frodo".
(Yeah, I'm terrible with names, still.)
I like that show, would like more of it, and even better if they offered
it without dubbing.

That was why the new investigating officer had to be called
Barnaby, when John Nettles left the role.

Ah, shame.
I don't actually watch that series. This episode was an accident. :)
