Scholastic Launches New Streaming Service For Kids and Families
---------------------------------------------------------------
Scholastic's 9 Story Media Group has partnered with Future Today
to launch the publishing company's first-ever streaming app.
The app offers over 400 hours of content from the Scholastic
library, including nostalgic series such as "Clifford the Big Red
Dog," "The Magic School Bus," "Goosebumps," "The Baby-Sitters
Club," "Animorphs," "Garfield," "Barney & Friends" and more.
An ad supported streamer through Future Today, which has
previously collaborated with iconic kids brands like Moonbug,
Lego, and Chuck E Cheese, the Scholastic app is free to download
and aims to provide safe, trusted, and familiar content to
children and their families.
Scholastic invested in 9 Story last year, and the streaming app is
part of their strategic partnership to reach wider audiences of
kids across various forms of media.
The Scholastic streamer is available to download on Roku and
Amazon Fire TV, and features children's and family shows based off
of the publisher's beloved IP.
"We're seeing strong demand for quality nostalgic content, and the
Scholastic brand is trusted by families everywhere," Vice President
of digital and distribution at 9 Story Elianne Friend said. "Future
Today was the ideal partner to help us bring Scholastic's beloved
stories to new audiences. We're excited to build on this momentum
and continue expanding Scholastic Entertainment's incredible
catalog across global streaming platforms."a
Future Today's senior vice president of kids and family David Di
Lorenzo added: "Scholastic books and programs have been a
cornerstone of childhood for generations, bringing characters and
lessons that stay with us for life. With this new app, we're
ensuring families everywhere will have access to timeless stories
that entertain, educate and inspire - backed by a brand they know
and trust."aa
