The USA has become only the second UN member in history not to attend
a regular mandatory review of its human rights record. Guess who was
    the first?

rCLAs a founding member of the United Nations and primary champion
of individual liberties, we will not be lectured about our human
rights record by the likes of HRC (Human Rights Council) members
such as Venezuela, China or Sudan,rCY the US Department of State
    said in a statement.

The whole point of an international rules-based order is that the same
rules apply to *everybody*. You donrCOt get a special dispensation for commmitting human rights abuses just because you are a rCLfounding
memberrCY, or that your military is bigger and badder than anybody
    elserCOs.
