    This used to be an old joke, but it appears in Efc<Efc| it is still a fact

    Here in Efc|Efc+, at least this century, I have always received
    prescriptions from the Doctor that were output on a printer in their
    office. So much less chance of misinterpretation.

    Back when I were a lad, this sort of thing was obviously not so
    common. There was this joke about a man who got a festive-season
    greeting card from his doctor. He couldnrCOt make out what the
    handwritten message said. Finally, in desperation (or a stroke of
    brilliance), he took the card round to the pharmacist.

    The pharmacist looked at the card, took down a bottle from a shelf,
    and said rCLThatrCOll be a dollar seventy-five, please.rCY

    And thererCOs another clue as to how old that joke is ...
