    Very little actually lasts long these days. Two of the many reasons are products being rushed out with little actual testing, and simply
    today's "throw away" society where fools change their mobile phone,
    car, etc more often than their underwear. :-\

    Technically true, but many of those old Roman road routes are actually
    still in use, just now paved over with more modern roads.
