While I agree with the sentiments expressed there is one huge faux
pas. The decision to keep or remove Maori wards was NOT made by
councils. It was made by voters is a referendum in some local body >constituencies. As such it is the will of those who voted and we must >respect that decision, however wrong we think it might be.
This is quite different to voters having the retention of Maori wards
imposed on them by each council.
