While largely predictable, who on earth imagined a misfit like Doyle
would make a good list MP. While his comments about Parliament are predictable, Parliament is primarily a contest of political ideas. The
people who get to be MPs are the result of elections. It is a theatre
of fierce debate that Doyle should never have been considered worthy
of entering because he clearly does not have what it takes to be an
    MP.

I don't have what it takes to be an MP either, but for reasons very
different to Doyle's. I have never taken any steps to become an MP.
What he thought he was doing in allowing himself to be put on the
Greens list is stupidity exceeded only by why the Greens did so.

Goodbye Benjamin - I hope the Greens next-of-the-list MP is better
suited to the role of list MP.

Why oh why do those who party-vote for the Greens support such a
    shambles of a party.

The Green Party of old was a party which avocated for the environment. They
did not express views on other ideas of running the country. All they wanted was for people to accept their ideas, or at least get them onto the table.

There was a section of voters, and still are, who consider that the environment's health is important. They vote for the Green Party because it represents their values more than the other parties do. Despite the state of the Green party is in.
