    And where does altnet fit in? The alt.groups are not part of the Big Eight >> but are they part of Usenet? Admin opinions seem to differ...

    uk.*
    fr.*
    be.*
    cakewalk.*
    xs4all.*
    etcetera

    All of these are not part of the big eight.
