For the likes of:
# poudriere jail -c -jJAILNAME -aABIARCHNAME -U
https://pkg.freebsd.org -mpkgbase=PKGBASENAME -v FBSDVERSNO
will poudriere support FBSDVERSNO==14 ? Support just 15<=FBSDVERSNO<=16 ?
I ask this because:
) No FreeBSD:14:* ABI's are officially supported (any are experimental)
for pkgbase use. FreeBSD:15:* starts the official support. (Or that
is my understanding.)
) FreeBSD:14:* does not have base package sets at all: no FreeBSD-set-*
(In other words: FreeBSD's base packaging configuration is rather
different for FreeBSD 15 and later compared to 14.)
) FreeBSD:14:* does not have a fully matching list of base packages
( FreeBSD-* , ignoring the FreeBSD-set-* issue ). (Again:
FreeBSD 15's packaging configuration is rather different than
FreeBSD 14's.)
Note: Technically what varies here is FreeBSD's various configurations
of how pkg is used, not the pkg program itself. The question is
not about which version(s) of pkg are supported, but which
versions of FreeBSD-base-packaging are supported, identified by
the FreeBSD major version numbers involved.
