an?an+an#aneanLan? submitted an update to the
LinguisTiX
package.
Version number: 0.7 2026-01-19
License type: gpl3+
Summary description: Enhanced support for linguistics
Announcement text: ----------------------------------------------------------------------
This version marks a significant change in the LinguisTiX
bundle. All the previous versions were licensed under GPLv3+
and GFDLv1.3+ pair with the former being the license for
the programs and the latter being the same for their
documentations. Since the documentations were generated
using the dtx files licensed under GPLv3+, the generated
PDFs had to follow the same license. I correct this mistake
in this version and from now on the project will be under
GPLv3+ only. Similarly, the copyright years are corrected
from this version strictly following the guidelines given
by the FSF.
Apart from this, the new version provides support for
linguistic glossing. Two packages are added in this version. LinguisTiX-glossing provides a generic solution for
interlinear glossing. It can be used cross-linguistically
and LinguisTiX-leipzig is provided as a specialised package
developed for the Leipzig glossing style. These packages are
released for testing. So any kind of feedback is highly
appreciated. Note that these packages provide tagged
glosses and comply with the LaTeX projectrCOs tagging support.
This marks the completion of the first grant of the project
provided by the TeX Users Group. Project will still be under
constant development.
The documentation of LinguisTiX-leipzig will be released
shortly after I am back at software from a study break.
Cheers,
an?an+an#aneanLan?
