  • Windows Games Can Run On Android Now

    From Lawrence =?iso-8859-13?q?D=FFOliveiro?=@ldo@nz.invalid to comp.os.linux.advocacy,comp.os.ms-windows.advocacy,comp.sys.mac.advocacy on Tue Feb 17 21:33:56 2026

HererCOs a report on a Windows PC game (Cyberpunk 2077) running on a
    high-end Android phone <https://www.tomshardware.com/video-games/pc-gaming/high-end-android-phones-are-now-powerful-enough-to-emulate-the-pc-version-of-cyberpunk-2077-youtuber-gets-2020s-hottest-pc-game-running-at-playable-frame-rates-on-red-magic-11-pro>.

This is running under Windows emulation using WINE, and it can manage
    30-40 fps.

IrCOve said before, that the difference between Android and other mobile platforms is that Android, being Linux-based, offers you a real
    computer.

What an utterly specious argument this is.

iOS isn't a "real computer" because Apple doesn't allow it to run WiNE?

    Seriously?
