    Android has always allowed file manager apps, for example. It has a
    proper filesystem, which stores proper files, so it makes sense to use
    proper tools for managing those files.

    iOS has a file manager called "Files". It shows all user documents.

    It has a

    proper tools for managing those files.

    Can you give an example where this helps the general user? Not saying there
    are none -- maybe it helps with troubleshooting? I am grossly outdated on Android and even when I used it I did so on low end devices. Oh, and have used it in emulation but that hardly counts.

    One native one. You can get others. Never felt the need.

    I think some will show the system files, which I think is something you would like. On iOS I have never had the need (which is not to say you are wrong if you want to).
