Once you've unlocked the second and third levels, this is quite a game.
I spent too long leveling up to 8 or 9 on first level tricks. Running
around on second level, my high level samurai leveled up in no time.
I've gotten fixated on this party:
3 samurai
thief
mage
bishop
In wiz 6 & 7 I occasionally replace the thief with a ranger or a ninja,
but a dedicated thief erases so many headaches. In Wiz 8 they
eliminated rangers abiity at skulduggery, probably because the Gadgeteer
has it.
The magic users mage and bishop reflect my focus on more damage than
healing. You can only heal so much hp as you have in a battle, but
bishop alchemist or psionic provide sufficient healing with something
like a 50% dedication to damage. I'm blowing through Wiz 6
simultaneously with an alchemist instead of bishop (already used up Key
of Ramm on the second day of play) and spell: itching skin is reducing
the enemy to rubble. I used to think Rogue Leaders were something, but they're only like 130 experience. Killed about five of these in this
game after having always been destroyed by them in the past.
