    And saw the C64DTV joystick being sold in the US when the brand was licensed..

    After seeing the mods you could do to it to make it a real C=, I really
    wanted one of those joysticks and was bummed I didn't pick one up when I
    had the chance. A friend of mine at the time got two of them, one for
    him and one for his brother, and he had told me that when he moves away
    I could have his, but that never happened :).

    there would be quite a market for just the new chips such as the SID and VIC II. As supplies have dried up, leading to people canabalizing what would otherwise be repairable machines.

    Oh yeah, good call! All of those new replacement chips like the BackSID
    and Kawari and such could now go under the C= name, too! As long as all
    the I.P. owners play nice and don't get into any disputes over things in
    the future. Like if the Kawari becomes the Commodore Kawari, all the
    profits and whatnot should probably go straight to the Kawari makers,
    etc.
