    Hello comp.os.vms collegiates,

I was wondering if anyone was aware of global outages with the Eternal-September Newsgroup service?

Of course, if there was a global outage, and you use ES, then you
would not be reading this post.

My main Usenet setup these days is using Mozilla Thunderbird, with ES,
however, for the last day or two, it has been failing to connect to
the server, although the https:// website is accessible.

However, I have my old Forte Agent, using NGD (NewsGroupDirect) as a
backup, hence this post you are now reading.

    Any reports welcome.

    Thank you.

Was out for a few hours earlier this afternoon (NZ time). Now back (obviously).

Not too fussed at this stage. Usenet access is hardly mission-critical for
    me. ;)

No issues with E.S. here - just c.o.v. has been quiet for a few days

    Thanks, everyone, for the feedback.

The mystery glitch resolved of itself.

I doubt my DNS cache flushing, and other dark network wetwork, had
anything to do with the resolution. :-)
