I haven't posted an update in a while -- do you miss them?
More than life itself.
Why do you and Feeb spastically update your kernels?
Admittedly, I never see an improvement going from one kernel to the other. Instead, NVIDIA breaks because the driver hasn't been adapted to the new kernel in time for its deployment. That's why I'm considering just
sticking to Linux Mint like vallor did to minimize the annoyance.
"Because I can" is the usual reply, but that's not a real answer.
You may have Tourette's, and can't control yourself.
What do you think you're missing if you go a month without installing a
new kernel release candidate?
There are definitely improvements, but they're under the hood for the
general user. I follow the updates on Phoronix to know what's going on,
and I can't say that there is much to jump for joy about. However, they
are usually genuine improvements to the previous release.
I'm still running Win11 Pro 24H2, which I installed in late 2024.
Winning!
I hope you run sfc and DISM religiously to prevent breakage.
