...those developer bastards suddenly change their options/commands
and hence ruin all of your fucking scripts?
I sure as fuck do.
Consider G'MIC:
<https://gmic.eu/>
Updating from 3.6.0 to 3.7.0 those bastards removed the "resize2dx"
command and now many of my image processing scripts have to be rewritten.
Fortunately the change is not that drastic and a "sed" command should
take care of all the replacements.
But this is NOT supposed to happen. Other software, like NetPBM, does
not do this.
Those G'MIC developers need some counseling -- with a rubber hose.

1. Now you have example of many similar reasons why I stay with old
Kubuntu 20.04 distro. And not upgrade it for years.
2. Now you know why I criticise, and avoid roiling distros like Gentoo.

I'm curious, how popular is Linux in Poland?
All FOSS software provides a "ChangeLog" file that describes all changes
that were implemented in any new version, and a study of this file is imperative.
The GNU/Linux user has to work very fast otherwise he'll fall
irretrievably behind.
The distro lackey only wants a free ride
and doesn't do anything significant with his computer.
The distro lackey accepts without question
everything that his distro provides because he is too technically
incompetent to do otherwise.
Keeping up with changes is a part of the user's job.Python does it for YOU 'automagically'. You're an emerge lackey.
