    Wonderful new feature coming to Microsoft 365: select some text, and
    you can immediately paste a link into it to make it into a hyperlink <https://www.theverge.com/news/859288/microsoft-word-hyperlinks-new-shortcut>.

    Note this is Microsoft 365, not Microsoft Office.

    Oh, and I just tried it in LibreOffice Writer version 25.8.4.2, with
    the following steps:

    * Select some text
    * Select the menu option rCLInsert raA Hyperlink ...rCY (shortcut CTRL/K)
    * Paste the link in the URL field
    * Click OK

    Done. In an office suite running on hardware you control, not in the
    cloud!

    I'll be honest, I always found it easier to do this in LibreOffice than Microsoft Office. It's part of why I don't mind migrating to the open-
    source suite when I use Linux. For the very simple things that I do, LibreOffice is actually much better than Microsoft Office.
