    Windows Pro. Costs the same as Home if you know where to buy it. You can do the same thing in Home via the Registry. Group Policy Editor is just a GUI front end for the Registry.

    I am looking at a laptop of mine. I have not "Checked For Updates" since 9/1/2025 3:02PM.

    4 months. When am I going to be "forced"?

    Seriously. Stop babbling about things you know nothing about. Windows Defender updates are NOT included in the above. It only blocks Windows Updates.
    Windows Defender CAN be disabled, but is (1) stupid and (2) a different thing than disabling Windows Updates.
