    Well; I don't know ANYTHING about the 'app'/project or its use, or
    anything even 'related' to its use, but...

    ... as an open source project, IF there is a USE for its functionality
    and purpose, when those few guys stop working on that particular
    'thing', then someone else will come along and dev for the purpose that
    is no longer being met by that particular thing/name/project.

    Most of the comments I saw (stopping less than halfway) were 'offtopic'
    as to the point of the article, but one of them said:

    I'm any case there are other projects that can easily fill this void
    (Caddy has an ingress controller and a gateway API controller,
    Traefik, Istio, etc). The only reason the nginx ingress controller
    is so heavily used is not because it's the better product, but
    because it was in some doc somewhere at the right time and everybody
    copied and pasted that to a bunch of other docs.
