Here in Melbourne, no cloud, new moon, no smoke as such... Should
be good. Its "probably" easily seen as far north as Brisbane. Well
worth a look if you have clear skies to the south of where ever you >>>>> are.

I have good views to the north and west but not good to the south so
I've not managed to see any Aurora from here, sounds like I need to
go for a drive somewhere so I can see it.
    Thanks for the heads up.

-a-astreet lights ruined it for me last nite. some great pics taken
from Colac, and mornington Peninsular... may go off again tonight.
i'm now up the block and yep, it's overcast... :-)

-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a Lights up the whole sky when its running!..Spent a lot of
    time watching as a kid..:)

Your whole country is beautiful, let alone whats above it. I'll never
forget Milford Sound. Entrance shrouded in fog, ships fog horn going
off, and then thefog cleared as if by magic, and the mountains at the entrance appeared.-a Snow (and lots of it) on the mountain peaks, in
summer! Wouldnt mind doing the plane ride as well. THAT would be awesome.

Only been to Fiordland/Milford once, and that was thru the Homer tunnel
on a dry day (one of the very few) so havn`t got to see the magnificent
water falls that occur after rain. Need to spend some time back home
while I can!, and do the tourist thing. :)
Stewart Is well worth a visit as well. Flew there from Invercargill
in an amphibian plane. Landed on the harbour at Oban, rolled up the beach, across the road and stopped in front of the pub...Late '60's..NZ
    Eh. :)

If I can, I'll go back via light plane in winter...

https://imgur.com/a/yyOJg9h Half a dozen of the 300 pics I took that
day.. :-) We were lucky, apparently the cruise ships dont go so far, but someone had to be taken off (broken leg or similar) so we got to go as
far as wo could. Prolly less than a kilometre from the airfield... two
planes landed whilst we were there, I believe one was an air Ambo... the
other 2 Fjords we went in (Danger Sound and I cant remember the name of
the other) were eye-opening too, but Milford Sound... Wow!

hahaha you asked for it.. (couple of small vids as well) feels like the
    old slide nite... :-)

    https://imgur.com/a/dz4vmMt more from Milford Sound.

I have heaps more from Doubtful Sound, and I may have named "Danger
Sound" wrong, I'll have to check. At the time I thought we were only
going into one, not three... Was a magic day, right up there with
snorkeling on the Great Barrier Reef with my boy, and our first trip to Vanuatu. (Check out Rarru falls https://tinyurl.com/y6kazpa3 ) . But for
sheer beauty, ruggedness, and nature at it's finest, Milford Sound wins,
    imho.
