Had a great and interesting week or so.. 3 things stood out:

1: I got a shock from an electric fence.. 8000v isn't to be sneezed at.
:-) Mate set it up, and when I grabbed the insulated handle (gate),
    bang! He's left a 1" tail that I didn't see. :-) I invented a few new
    swear words...

2: My wingman arrived in his new bus: A Genesis GV70 Signature Sport
    with a 3.5L twin turbo V6 AWD. https://www.genesis.com/au/en/shopping/shop/gv70#.html
Never been in anything so endowed with tech. So many driving modes, and
so many bells and whistles. The one that mattered: Sport mode. There's probably other vehicles with better performance, I dont profess to know.
This thing pushed me well back into the pax seat, when he booted it. I
dont know 0-100, he mentioned 5.something... Had the matt paint which
was an extra $2000.. Fark! 21" wheels. I wonder what a set of tyres
cost? Seems to be a great mid-sized SUV... Not a fan of orange seat
    belts tho.. :-)

and 3: We were all sitting around watching a couple of thunderstorms on
the afternoon of the 30th dec... walked outside to have a slash, and
there was a massive white flash, followed instantly by a equally massive boom!. 10 mins later, i get a phone call from my neighbors wife:
"Lindsay, there's a bushfire on your place!" So we all sprung into
action, grabbed all the gear; shovels, extinguishers, chain saw, etc,
and took off. When we got there neighbor had got through the middle gate
with his tractor, and put a small scrub fire out (maybe 20-30 sq
metres), so we dropped the tree as it was still smouldering 1/2 way up..
Bit of excitement to end the day.! Now looking for more firefighting equipment. :-D

    time:-)

Had one of those parked out the front here a few days ago, belongs to my wife's friend who bought it SH from another one of their friends who
owns (she is retired, husband passed away, her son runs the business,
other son runs the Toyota dealership) the local Hyundai dealership.
Never been in it but it looks pretty special inside, actually looks like
a bit like a Bentley interior.

Nothing like a fire to get your attention, at least you were able to
control it before it got out of hand.

    these days are out there.

I paid $3500 for a 5 second car and it was not all wheel drive,I am a mechanic i would not buy all wheel drive, more work,I would tend not to
buy SUV too because I can not reach in the bonnet to do head gaskets,i
do not buy turbos because i hate working on exhaust manifolds
