though Firefox has long denied updates to strangle Win7.

My latest Asus build won't even run anything but Win10/11.

FF 115 ESR, Win7:
"Please upgrade your browser. We don't support this browser version anymore"

That Firefox fork crashes in my Win7 system.

I use r3dfox for now. This fork is intended for Vista and Win7.

strange... using it since March ca. v135 without problems.

115 ESR used like 3GB of RAM when streaming videos for hours.
That's also back to normal now.
