From time to time someone or other in AUE bemoans the verbing (sic) of
    nouns.

The Greek word of 'I agree' is "-a-a++-a-e++-A" (sym-pho-no). At its root is 'symphony' which is from the Greek word symph+inos meaning "harmonious, agreeing in sound," from syn- "together" + ph+in-o "voice, sound" .

I hope you symphonise with me that the verbing phenomenon is not just a
new fad but as old as Zeus and his lot.

I don't think Jan disagrees with you, but he's got a different list of requirements than you do, including being able to run the newsreader on
an Apple OS. Should you feel inclined to start some coding, I'm sure
he would consider testing it for you.

Apart from MacSoup being simply the best newsclient for OSX. (arguably!)
Some people even keep ancient Macs alive merely to run MacSoup.

Claris Works is so versatile: I use it for word-processing,
spreadsheets, technical drawings, illustrations, animated drawings and slideshows. It can also 'talk' to various devices through a port.

Not only that, but a spreadsheet can be incorporated in a drawing so the dimension numbers change, depending on the data you have filled in - or
a drawing can be included in a slideshow - or it can combine a jpeg and
a date spreeadsheet to make a calendar.

I have been using it for over 27 years and I still occasionally find
useful things I didn't know it could do.

    You are a solo orchestra?

I have been know to orchestrate chaos single-handedly, on occasion.

With a concerted effort, I'm sure you can refrain from cacophonizing and
    conduct yourself with composure.

You really know how to play with words.

I'm sure this can be strung out further, but I don't think we should
    harp on it.

Apart from MacSoup being simply the best newsclient for OSX. (arguably!)
Some people even keep ancient Macs alive merely to run MacSoup.

I think Usenet specifies ASCII for text, so that is what I am using to

characters so I have replaced them with the nearest equivalent in

Auto-snip sigs should be a standard feature.
In MacSoup it is not even possible to turn it off.
If I want to reply including the sig
I need to select the whole message.

How to kill crossposts is in its manual.
