Curling is a unique sport, in that disputes are very uncommon.

Not entirely unique. Disc sports are also gentleman's sports, and any
error committed is reported by the offender. It works on any level,
    also where money are involved.

I suppose I should have said that it is the only sport I know of where disputes are uncommon.

Snooker is also a gentleman's sport in this regard.
Even at the highest levels people call out their own fouls,
and it is not uncommon to see a referee being surprised by the call.
