Is there any indication if Sage was able to answer the question any
better?-a I assume Sophi probably did cause she was mouthing the
answers as Savannah stumbled.-a I have not listened to any post-show
interviews yet, so I don't know if this has been discussed.
I don't know. I haven't watched the entirety of Sharon's exit
interview with Rizo.
No idea if this is true or not. I saw mention online that Sage did
not do any exit interviews today. I also saw people saying that she
was apparently ripped apart pretty badly during FTC. If that's true,
did Jeff give us a sanitized version of FTC?
Final Tribal is always severely edited, as it typically runs at least
a couple of hours.-a I've seen numerous examples where answers were
edited in a way that would lead you to believe the final vote would be
closer than you'd think.-a I'm sure that probably happened here.
If Sage had a meltdown or something else happened to make her look
really bad, I could easily see them editing it out.-a She definitely
looked out of it for much of the Final TC and the after show, and we
did see her breakdown a bit at one point during the after show.
Did you understand what she was trying to say when she started crying
during the After Show?
No, not at all. I was going to re-watch it a few times to try to
unscramble it, but I haven't done that yet. She was obviously upset and emotional, but I couldn't really put together what the issue was.
Regarding the After Show, the thought occurred to me that when they used
to do the live reunion after the finale, it really was live (with
perhaps a 10 second delay to bleep language), so we pretty much got to
see everything the participants said and did in quasi-real time. But
this often led to awkward or boring stretches with Jeff babbling to an audience member or someone like Tyler Perry or Sia, and the show often dragged. Now that they are doing the on-location after show right after
the final vote reveal, it opens up the possibility they are doing
extensive editing to try to make the show more compact and efficient. I
have a feeling the Sage exchange may have been edited for time and to
keep the show moving.
BTW, Sage is required by her contract to participate in exit
interviews, so refusing to participate could be a big deal.-a I presume
she will claim to have been ill or something.
Mike Bloom says she's doing them tomorrow. Kind of weird she had availability issues when the date for exit interviews has been known for many months. If she had a medical appointment or something of that
nature, then delaying a day isn't that bad.
Quick note for today's #Survivor49 interviews: Due to availability, Sage will be doing her exit press tomorrow
But very excited to bring you my chats with the rest of the Final Five
later this morning!
