Kristina wins Nincompoop of the Week, but she had some stiff
    competition.

Tracy, who is usually a very savvy schemer, suddenly hits upon the
strategy of bringing Gio back into the fold by convincing him that Sonny
is his death and the Qs are his salvation. You'd think by this time in
her life she would have had enough experience with child psychology to
know not to pull something like that and expect it to work. To her
credit, she did seem to realize her mistake and tried to correct course
by evoking Sonny's trail of dead.

Rocco, who is oddly horrified to have been born through a surrogate,
would likely have been equally horrified had he been born in the 60s to
a member of a hippie commune in which the mothers of infants just picked
up a random hungry infant and nursed it, never mind that it might not
    have been theirs.

Selina, who is usually a venomous snake, was wrangled ridiculously
easily by Sidwell. Who knew she would be such an easy set up? Too bad
that Brad, who was an expert setter-upper, never figured that out.

Willow, who so far has been the only member of the Cult of Drew, has
gotten it into her tiny, Drew-besotted brain that it might be a good
idea to recruit more members so they can defend her against The
Outsiders when Drew is away. The only recruitment strategy she knows
tho, is the one Drew used to recruit her. So at the MC pool, she first love-bombed Gio, then moved on to love-bomb Kai.

Sidwell, who...actually, this isn't about being a nincompoop, it's about
a grown man behaving like an infant. The way he acted when Alexis tried
to go over legal matters with him was more like an eight year old being lectured by a parent than a grown man being advised by his attorney.
Rolling his eyes, looking at his watch, slouching in his chair, yawning.
So infantile! And really out of character, IMO. Sidwell, as originally
written, is a narcissist who would immediately banish from his presence
anyone who wasn't actively massaging his massive ego or was otherwise
wasting his precious time, legal advisors included.

I was puzzled why Rocco was so negative about having a surrogate mother,
but it seems he was afraid Britt was his biological parent.

That did seem too easy and out of character for Selina. Running away
just makes her appear guilty. Going straight to Sonny and explaining
Sidwell's scheme was likely a much safer bet. It's right in Sidwell's wheelhouse. Selina and Sonny have decades of mostly cooperative history.
Sonny certainly should believe her over Sidwell. And exactly what is her motivation for suddenly turning on Sonny and firebombing Kristina's
business when their collaboration has been so successful for both of them?

Those scenes were odd, even for Port Charles.

You're right, why didn't he just send Alexis away, and tell her that
they could go over those papers later, or that he'd do that with Marco
at Sidwell's convenience. Didn't Alexis say at some point that she was
not going to be personally involved in any of Sidwell's business, that
it would be handled by Marco?
Incidentally, has it ever been explained why Marco has a different last
name than either of his parents? Other than to keep his parentage hidden
    from the viewers.

If that's what he thinks, then someone should explain to him how
surrogacy works. Or maybe he's yet to hear the word "surrogate," and
only knows that there was an amended birth certificate and jumped to the conclusion that he'd been adopted by Lulu and Dante. It was pretty funny
when Emma said that after Patrick dumped Britt, Britt had "gotten
herself pregnant." Since she didn't elaborate on that ridiculous
comment, Rocco probably was left thinking that someone should explain to
    Emma how human reproductions works!

Whatever the case, shame on BL. What Lulu did was poke her nose into
someone's business to expose truth, which was very bad, but she wasn't motivated by evil intentions. BL's only motive in what she did was to
    bring hurt. That's evil.

So true! The writers seemed to be at least somewhat aware that it was nonsensical for Selina to capitulate so easily, because they tried to
give her a rationale to do. Sidwell appealed to her greed by hinting
that both of their businesses would be more profitable with Sonny out of
the picture. But if Selina is as cunning as originally written, she'll
consider Sidwell an unknown quantity whose word can't be trusted. The
mere fact that Sidwell is trying to divide in order to conquer should
tell her all she needs to know about him, and hopefully that will be
enough to send her directly to Sonny with Sidwell's scheme.

I've never heard an explanation for the different last names. Didn't
Natalia tell Sonny when they first started to get friendly that she had
several exes? Maybe one was named Rios, and he adopted Marco when Marco
was a child. Then Natalia divorced Rios and eventually married someone
named Ramirez. But then she also told Sonny that her son, Eloy, was a
brilliant and successful musician, so.... <shrug>
