'spyware' software. Use Linux if you can and even then there are still no guarantees of security.
Really, you should have a secondary computer / phone etc. You can buy cheap used
laptops in pawn shops for less than $100. Never put this computer online and do your encrypting on this computer and transfer to your online computer. Install Linux on your secondary computer.
Hackers are now using new ways to see your encrypted data such as client side scanning and keyloggers etc. So they can see your message as you're typing it and
this is why you should encrypt on your offline computer and then transfer to your
online computer.
