Then why yamn remailer <noreply@mixmin.net> is working?

    You're right.
And honestly, I can't give you an answer.
I don't see any posts specifying whether the Mixmin services are managed
    by someone trustworthy.

We all know they're Zax services, but, as far as I know, Zax isn't
available, so there's no clarity, and asking here in apas has become problematic.

    I don't understand why.

This is a common security question that seems to offend many people
here, even though these same people claim to be interested in privacy
    and security.

    My opinion?
Mixmin is dead, long live Mixmin.

I've been a remailer operator for many years, first with Mixmaster and
    now with Victor Yamn.
I have a web interface that manages the Yamn client, as you know.

I can't say I'm not a supporter of the Yamn protocol, but the negligence
I see behind the project justifies its decline.

The only ones interested in yamn seem to be omnimix/qs users, a client application for anonymous remailing, not exactly supported, not exactly
open source, that runs on winzoz spy OS.

    Hi Gabx,

what I do not understand is why you still support YAMN, when there are
better solutions availabe and those OmniMix crybabies are not worth to

Wow! Now the big-mouthed gabby one relegates yamn to the same
    garbage dump as QSL.

Isn't is laughable how this ego stricken fucktwit hasn't a single

i always use tor with omnimix, e.g., to send multilayered mixmaster or yamn encrypted packets (via tor, i use tor browser, but om's tor also works 5x5)
to entry remailers of random remailer chains, but tor was never required to
use anonymous remailers since their inception three decades ago, but by now
tor has become so popular that probably everyone but a few use tor normally, for updating stats, downloading updates, using read-only nntp servers, etc.

and omnimix may also work with the popular eelbash yamn middle remailer, if omnimix > stateint > starex > eelbash > is set to "ignore" or "middle", but
i would recommend eelbash > "block", and avoid suspicious smtp relays/hosts
