The "public" includes PBS's hundreds of thousands of small and large contributors, not just the federal money they received.

The stations in the bigger cities will get by fine on donations alone,
it's the smaller cities where in many locations the only TV signal that

Must be. But New Yorkers are smart and capable of governing themselves.

Sorry, I think that you are the Dummy.

Trot out all those weak right-wing talking points you like, we're in
the middle of a Nazi nightmare

What current events do you believe relate to what the Nazi's did?

Trump has supported political violence against opponents; many
academics cited Trump's involvement in the January 6 United States
Capitol attack as an example of fascism. Trump has been accused of
racism and xenophobia with respect to his rhetoric about illegal
immigrants and his policies of mass deportation and family separation.
Trump's base, referred to as the MAGA movement, is sometimes analyzed
as a cult of personality. Especially during his second term, several
experts of fascism have characterized Trump and his allies' rhetoric
and style of governance as authoritarian, and have compared them to
previous fascist leaders'. In contrast, some scholars have described
Trump variously as an authoritarian populist, a far-right populist, a nationalist, or of a different ideology.

that's going to damage the country for
    decades if not permanently.

How exactly is the USA being damaged? The GPD is up. The stock market
is up. Taxes are down. Drug deaths are down. Gas prices are down.
Inflation is down. Fraudulent government giveaways are being
discovered and stopped. The people of Iran are revolting against their dictator. Several terrorist groups are being weakened. The people of Venezuela have now got a chance to get back to the Democracy that was
taken away from them. The Socialist takeover of that country put the
people into poverty and lead to a tyrant stealing elections.

Trump has weakened America, economically and politically. His policies
are creating serious problems for the US economy. For example, both
tariffs and mass deportations of irregular migrants who take the jobs
that Americans will not do are stoking inflation. The frequent chopping
and changing of policy creates uncertainty, harms investment and has a negative impact on market sentiment. The defunding of large areas of scientific research risks undermining the innovation that has given the
US a consistently higher growth rate than Europe; America is ceding the leadership of many green technologies to China. Furthermore, a country
that expels visitors, confiscates their electronic devices for
criticising the president and detains international students engaging
in protest will be less attractive for international business and
    academic exchanges.

The world can also see how Trump is eroding the checks and balances of
the US political system, through his attacks on the federal government,
his criticism of the courts (and his non-compliance with some of their decisions), his hounding of political opponents and his sidelining of Congress. The decisions to virtually abolish institutions like USAID
and Voice of America have done a lot to undermine US soft power - and
American global influence. A nationalist and unpredictable America is
less attractive as an ally and as a trading partner. The damage Trump
is doing will be hard to repair.

the end of Iranian nuclear development,

    It hasn't ended.

What leads you to believe that?

"CSIS Satellite Imagery Analysis Reveals Possible Signs of Renewed
    Nuclear Activity in Iran"

<LOL> And you think "Satellite Imagery Analysis Reveals Possible Signs
of Renewed Nuclear Activity in Iran" means it absolutely hasn't ended?

Even if that's true, it can be destroyed again just as easily as it
    was done last year.

Assuming they know about it before it's up and running.

Why do you think nobody dicks around with North Korea now -- nuclear
weapons are the only thing that stops a madman like Trump from
    territorial conquests.

the arrest of the Venezuelan tyrant,

We have a tyrant running the US now.

Tyrants are oppressive. How have you been oppressed? What rights have

<LOL> Leftist misinformation site full of nothing but undocumented
    opinions? Really?

I'll take that as you being unable to refute any of the regime's 100 tyrannical actions.

and the end of wars in the Middle East

LOL, "the end of wars in the Middle East." That's probably your (and
    Trump's) stupidest claim.

The terrorist groups are on their knees.

And yet ISIS killed three Americans as late as last month.

Bad, but they're still onn their knees.

Doesn't look that way ("undocumented opinion" as you like to put it too).

    are dumb?

Are you liking the official NYC "Tenant Adviser" promoting government >>>>> confiscation of people's homes?

Is that the current hot wall-to-wall topic on Faux Republican News?
Must be. But New Yorkers are smart and capable of governing themselves. >>>
Yet the official NYC "Tenant Adviser" said she wants to confiscate
their homes. Are you really OK with that?

I don't know enough about New York politics and governance to comment
but it sounds like some kind of cherry-picked red meat by Fox News and
the far right silo to get their disciples like you salivating.

In the resurfaced clip, which is undated, she said: "It will mean that families, especially white families, are going to have a different relationship to property than the one we currently have."

In another post resurfaced on X, Weaver said on June 13, 2018: "Seize
    private property!" https://www.newsweek.com/zohran-mamdani-tenant-advisor-home-ownership-white-supremacy-11307264

"2018" huh. Try to stay in this decade. That's only a few years after
Trump turned Republican (taking advantage of weak minds).

Trump variously as an authoritarian populist, a far-right populist, a
nationalist, or of a different ideology.

    Undocumented opinion on wikipedia? ReallY

In other words, you're unable to refute any of the regime's fascist
actions that are a matter of public record -- not "undocumented
    opinion."

    Pretty lame even for you.

that's going to damage the country for
    decades if not permanently.

How exactly is the USA being damaged? The GPD is up. The stock market
is up. Taxes are down. Drug deaths are down. Gas prices are down.
Inflation is down. Fraudulent government giveaways are being
discovered and stopped. The people of Iran are revolting against their
dictator. Several terrorist groups are being weakened. The people of
Venezuela have now got a chance to get back to the Democracy that was
taken away from them.

The frequent chopping
and changing of policy creates uncertainty, harms investment and has a
negative impact on market sentiment. The defunding of large areas of
scientific research risks undermining the innovation that has given the
US a consistently higher growth rate than Europe; America is ceding the
leadership of many green technologies to China. Furthermore, a country
that expels visitors, confiscates their electronic devices for
criticising the president and detains international students engaging
in protest will be less attractive for international business and
    academic exchanges.

Undocumented opinion is all you have.

It isn't any less credible than your own opinions.

The world can also see how Trump is eroding the checks and balances of
the US political system, through his attacks on the federal government,
his criticism of the courts (and his non-compliance with some of their
decisions), his hounding of political opponents and his sidelining of
Congress. The decisions to virtually abolish institutions like USAID
and Voice of America have done a lot to undermine US soft power - and
American global influence. A nationalist and unpredictable America is
less attractive as an ally and as a trading partner. The damage Trump
is doing will be hard to repair.

    More Undocumented opinion..

It isn't any less credible than your own opinions.

Fact is that you're damned lucky that Cackling Cammy and Tampon Tim
    didn't win the election.

Fact is the Trumpenfuhrer and his far right Project 2025 agenda are
    damaging the US permanently.

Undocumented opinion is not a fact, Jackass.

You're intimately familiar with undocumented opinion yourself, Shitstain.

But I guess you can always point fingers at somebody else when Trump,
Russia and China form an "axis of evil" that the rest of world has to
defend itself against, shades of Germany/Italy/Japan in WWII.

That's obviously where this is heading.

    <LOL> what makes that obvious?

You don't read a lot of news do you, especially of late.

    Leftist can't back his claim...

As if you can back all of your wild claims about our current
    "Trumptopia." <LOL>

Why do you think Lame Donald Duck is bending over backwards to rig the upcoming mid-terms, he knows 90% of his actions are wildly unpopular
    with the American public.

    You poor little fool...

    "neener-neener" :p

There's no problem with that, Dummy, as long as they're not supported
    by taxpayer revenue.

Are you really too stupid to understand that?

You ignorant far right asswipes will still be whining about public >>>>>>>>> television no matter how it's funded, it's in your DNA.

It's not public TV if it's "supported solely by donations and their >>>>>>>> donors," Dummy. It'll be like CNNLOL and MS-NEVER, and thus, something >>>>>>>> to be laughed at.

Their programming won't change nevertheless -- it'll still be
educational and informative which is something you rightwing asshats >>>>>>> can't relate to.

I can't relate to CNNLOL and MS-NEVER, too, but I don't want them to >>>>>> be cancelled because they're damned good entertainment.

You think those stations are going to change their name to "non-public >>>>> TV," you raging simpleton?

<CHUCKLE> It doesn't matter what they call themselves, Dummy, they're
not "Public TV" if they're privately funded.

The public is still funding them, goofball. As in public donations.

<LOL> Donations from private people are not public donations, Dummy.

Semantics. Any donor is part of the public.

Call it whatever you like. The problem was that they were getting
taxpayer money for their heavily biased broadcast. That's been
stopped, so there's no problem any longer.
