Poland said its air defence forces intercepted a Russian
reconnaissance aircraft near Polish airspace over the
Baltic Sea.
Meanwhile, radar systems also detected objects entering
from Belarus overnight.
According to PolandrCOs Operational Command of the Armed
Forces (DORSZ), fighter jets intercepted, visually identified
and escorted the Russian military aircraft away from their
area of responsibility on Thursday morning.
The aircraft was flying over international waters close to
PolandrCOs airspace, the command said. DORSZ said air defence
services remained on duty despite the holiday season.

Vlad keeps pushing, pushing, pushing.
Recently some of his mil drove into Estonia, did
*something*, and then left. The Estonian defense
minister said the other day that they'd shoot
any more who came over. Germany and Denmark, Vlad
keeps having his agents buzz airports, power plants
and military bases with drones. Reportedly they
have now invested in 'drone-jammer' tech, but we've
yet to see how effective it will be. Commercial
airports are most vulnerable, must take 'safety'
even more seriously and thus tend to suspend all
operations for a long time when drones appear.
Finland, which has a LONG border with Russia and
past conflicts, has done its best to close that
border ... but it is unclear how well they can
monitor the entire frontier or respond to incursion
in more rural areas.
Poland seems MOST keen on reacting to Vlad, who
keeps sending planes near, sometimes over. Some
Russian drones have also crashed in Poland. Air
defenses have increased with orders to instantly
blast anything that flies in. Alas Vlad COULD use
that as an excuse to escalate ... but if they
do nothing that ALSO encourages Vlad.
