    Growing up my grandmother helped me nurture an affinity for British
    comedy through regular viewings of imported Britcoms on PBS. One of
    her favorites was Keeping Up Appearances, which saw the charm and
    timing of actor Dame Patricia Routledge break an audience simply by
    turning rCLBucketrCY into rCLBouquet.rCY We honor her today, as it has been announced that the comedy legend has passed at 96.

    The news came from the BBC, as Dame Routledge was confirmed as having
    recently passing rCLpeacefully in her sleep this morning surrounded by
    love,rCY per a statement from her agent. And while Dame Routledge
    represented versatility through stage and screen, her five season run
    as Hyacinth Bucket (always pronounced rCLBouquetrCY) was a huge lynchpin
    in her overall legacy.

    Always trying to enforce the rules of etiquette and decorum, Hyacinth
    was the perpetual busybody, and Patricia Routledge dug into the role
    with great gusto. And as you can see, her Keeping Up Appearances'
