    Previous to me. The ex was the custodial parent; apparently M_____
    obtained custody sometime after our divorce.

    The inlaws, or rather those who were still living, were all doing
    well, apparently. So there's that.

    That was a shock. It was not a surprise.

    (One child went the way her mom did - not the suicide, but the
    drugs. Spent some time in jail. No idea where she is now. The
    other is, or was, a competitive bodybuilder of some reknown in
    Colorado.)
