While RedState has covered the raid at Glass House Farms in
Camarillo, California, extensively, I haven't written on it here
yet (though I posted a lengthy investigative thread on X) because,
living just 13 miles from that site and recognizing people I know
in the crowds fighting against federal law enforcement officers,
the events were pretty upsetting to watch unfold. Ventura County
has always been my "safe place" away from the craziness and
lawlessness of Los Angeles County, but we've got an increasingly
violent and well-organized group of leftists in the county (groups
involved in this week's riot were also behind the anti-Israel
protests in 2023 where Paul Kessler was killed), and things are
    reaching a breaking point.

When I saw what Rep. Salud Carbajal (D-CA) is accused of doing
during Thursday's protests, I was furious and knew I needed to
write about it. Carbajal has represented parts of Santa Barbara
County and Ventura County for decades as both a local legislator
and a Congressman, and it's no surprise that he was quickly on the
scene at the first raid on Thursday, at Glass House Farms'
Carpinteria location, spouting anti-ICE talking points.

I went to Casitas Pass Road in Carpinteria today after learning ICE
was conducting a militarized raid targeting farm workers. As a
Member of Congress, I have the right to conduct oversight, but I
was denied entry. HereAs what happened.

Perhaps Carbajal was denied entry because of his actions that put
ICE officers in danger? Sunday afternoon, ICE posted the following
    on X:

Rep. Salud Carbajal was part of a violent mob of protestors
attempting to obstruct federal law enforcement as they executed a
criminal search warrant at a marijuana facility. He cites
opeacefulo protestors, when in fact these rioters were launching
rocks at officers, injuring at least one ICE employee who was left
    bloody.

According to agents on the ground, the congressman doxed that same
ICE employee by sharing his business card with members of the
    violent mob.

THIS is precisely the rhetoric that has led to orchestrated
attempts to murder officers and a 700% increase in officer assaults.

May the congressmanAs constituency always remember he chooses
violence over the rule of law.

Maybe that's why Carbajal was denied entry to the facility, in
addition to the fact that there's no "congressional oversight"
right to observe a search warrant being executed, especially in
what Carbajal admitted was a volatile situation? Look at how he
tried to push his way through.

Rep. Salud Carbajal (D-CA) gets rejected by DHS when he tries to go
past the line in Carpinteria, CA, on Friday. ICE was conducting a
raid on a nearby illegal cannabis farm.

He then took the ID card from an ICE agent and gave it to rioters
    to doxx the agent.

    Prosecute Carbajal!

In his video, Carbajal says it's his understanding that ICE
apprehended 10 of the 12 people who were at the Carpinteria
facility, and that he got that information from the owner. It's
unclear whether he's referring to CEO Kyle Kazan or President
Graham Farrar, but Farrar's a pretty big donor to Carbajal. So was
Carbajal really there to provide oversight to protect the workers,
    or to protect his donor?

I hope that these elected officials who insert themselves in the
middle of active law enforcement operations to impede them will be
arrested and booted from office for their treasonous conduct.

(*DISCLAIMER: I worked for Carbajal's 2018 opponent, Justin Fareed,
    as his communications director.)

This piece was edited post-publication to add the video of Carbajal
    attempting to push past officers.
