Deepak makes a lot of sense. Except for the idea of the McFlurry
being promoted more on hot days. Since McDonald's can't keep the ice
cream machine running, promoting any ice cream based product would be
    pointless :)
Seriously, the kiosk does increase sales. Bar someone being
either too stupid to understand how to use one (I know of one person
who has expressed frustration over not being able to understand how to
use them), or is so set they will only buy X every time, no matter
what, a person is likely to buy more.
I have to wonder how much any employee ever judged anyone who
ordered. How important does someone have to believe they are that the
person taking the order cares? Place your order, pay and move on.
That's about all the employee cares about, really. If they care even
    that much.
The PERCEPTION of judgment can be present. And that perception is
    removed with a kiosk.

On the way back from a trip to Davis, we made a stop at
McD's for a quick bite to eat. They had kiosks. Ordered our
food at the kiosk, and it didn't give me the sales receipt.

    It was order #666.

Doc is the devil! Doc is the devil! :)

Was weird when they called out "666, your order is ready."

(Told him it was the "order of the Beast". He didn't get it.

since I paid with a credit card...

Odd that it didn't give you a receipt. But at least you got one eventually.
