Using latest Firefox 147.0.1 and for some reason I clicked to email a
link of a web page I was looking at, which is something I've done a
million times, for some reason it had changed to outlook and opened that
up. Easy enough to change it back to the Bird, but how in the hell did
    that happen?

Most probable that the OS default programs has been hijacked by MS and
made it outlook. Check the Setting, Apps, Default, Outlook; AND
    Setting, Apps, Default, Thunderbird

Check the default programs in both Thunderbird and Firefox.

You are correct. These got changed somehow in windows 11.

Check the default programs in both Thunderbird and Firefox.

Firefox had to be changed under applications for the mailto action. So
it looks like firefox was complicit, but that this was initiated by a
    windows update possibly. Odd.

Too many problems reported here are not Firefox problems, but Windows
    problems.

YourCOd think Windows users would have learned to always check that
    first, by now.
