FF is wasting time and money. Whether they like it or not, AI is here to
stay. They must either embrace it or face oblivion.

There is a jihadist here who is ready for battle.

They are embracing it, but are aware that a large proportion of their remaining users DO NOT WANT it and - unusually for FF - are actually respecting their wishes.

I wonder what the point is of all these settings in about:config. You
can uncheck or even remove the AI chatbot option in the GUI. If you're
not using it they're (supposed to) not collecting data, right? Then why
go all paranoid and change these settings in about:config?

I agree, but finding it in the mass of "settings" isn't straightforward.
For example, putting "ai" in the search box will find "AI", but it will
also find every word with "ai" in it (for example "container"). It
doesn't help that the search box doesn't seem to be able to understand
spaces, so searching on " ai " will find exactly what was found by "ai".

There would have to be just one heading for AI settings, which should
include just one checkbox to tick if you wanted to disable all Fx AI. Or
will the "AI" entry in the sidebar be the only general access to AI?
