There's still a rather odd, sticky-out bit at the top end of the
island of Ireland that is sometimes considered to be part of
"U.K.G.B. and N.I." by some people but that's contentious and an
irritation to many on and off the island, and it's tax laws and
incentives muchly align with those of London. Mostly. Sort of.
Given how Trump is trying to take over Greenland, IF "U.K.G.B. and
N.I." were to offer Eire the N.I. bit (at a price), would Eire want
to buy it??
Some of the people, agencies, organisations and governmental
departments, yes. Others, no. It's been "discussed". Sometimes
loudly.
Would the people of N.I. want such a sale to go ahead??
Some, yes, some, no.
It's a divisive issue.
If you really want to learn about it, one idea *may* be to go to the
two bits, Ireland and N.I., and sit, quietly, among the people,
listening to them chat while reading their histories, newspapers and
laws.
It's complicated.
But I'm surprised, given that the |eireann bit keeps making laws that
bother USAlien tech-bro's and cost them power and money, that the
Trumpanzee hasn't yet yammered on dementedly about taking the entire
island of Ireland "for the safety and security of USofA" and hasn't
yet threatened to send in the USofAn cops to arrest all of the
population so he can build bigly, beautiful hotels and casinos.
Ireland, at least has some ice-free Summer days (thank you to the
Mexican Gulf Stream) and she does grow stuff such as whiskey and
Guinness, and she'd make a nice air-base for when the Trumanzee
wants to annexe France. [Though why *anyone* would want to annexe
*France* is a little bit of a mystery.]
Maybe no-one has told him that Ireland exists and he's too dumb to
work it out on his own? J.
