Is there an *active* newsgroup that talks about A.I.?

BTW, try the following 3 searches or queries:

    0. definition of reaction in elementary science
    1. definition of reaction in molecular physics
    2. definition of reaction in physical chemistry

Tell me what you feel about the 3 different results. :)

I couldn't be bothered to check the 'List of Big Eight Newsgroups' (see newsgroups news.announce.newgroups,news.groups), so I asked Google
"Which active Usenet newsgroup for discussing AI?". Its 'AI Overview'
came up with comp.ai (Who would have thought of *that*!? :-)) and other comp.ai.* groups.

According to 'Arlen', 'they' took over Usenet a long time ago! :-) [1]

[1] Or, more likely, not Usenet, but just him.

AI has been around as a computer science domain for a long time. Since at
least the time of Alan Turing. These ngs are likely very old.

I took a graduate level in AI in the early 1980s in Cambridge.

At that time it was just three steps (fundamentally)...

    1. A human programs a "decision" using statistical analysis
    2. The computer "learns" based on new data after the fact
    3. The computer repeats #1 using #2

What we didn't have then, is LLM.
